PCR kit “ROSSАmed EXPRESS COVID-19 RT-PCR”

Reagent Description

PCR kit for the detection of RNA SARS-COV-2 "ROSSАmed EXPRESS COVID-19 RT-PCR" is intended for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA by single-stage RT-PCR with real-time detection of results, carried out in clinical diagnostic laboratories, medical and research institutions .

Detection by two targets of viral genes
ORF1ab and N gene:

- increases the sensitivity and specificity of the kit.

- reduces the risk of false negative results in the presence of mutations in one of the targets.

The kit was tested in the reference laboratory of the Research Institute of Virology M.Z. RUz. "ROSSAmed EXPRESS COVID-19 RT-PCR "showed high sensitivity (up to 100 copies/ml) and specificity (100%). The set of kits received positive conclusions and was recommended for use in laboratory practice. Tests conducted in reference laboratories included checking the reagent kit on a WHO reference panel (2020 Pro Detection of SARS-CoV-2 by PCR) as well as on patient samples.

Analyzed material: smears, scrapings and discharge of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, saliva, pleural fluid, bronchoalveolar lavage, sputum.

Detailed description

BENEFITS

  • Possibility of obtaining results within 1 hour.
  • Single-stage: no long extraction stage (1.5-2 ml test tubes add 100 µl of test samples, then add 100 µl of Extraction Reagent and incubate for 5 minutes at room temperature).
  • Reducing the risk of contamination.
  • Compatibility with amplifiers of various types: DTprime, DTlight, DT-96 (LLC NPO DNA-Technology); CFX96 (Bio-Rad); qTOWER (Analytik Jena); Rotor-Gene Q (QIAGEN).
  • The control of the preanalytical stage is the detection of human genomic DNA as a control for the sampling of biological material.
  • Safety for personnel.
  • Reducing the burden on staff and saving consumables.
  • Support for large volumes of research.
